Requirements of Entry: -Dogs have to be at least 5 months old -All shots must be up to date -Optional: Puppy class (recommended)
Objectives: -To learn the basic commands: Sit, Down, Stand, Stay, Leave It, Focus, Come -Work on learning commands -Work with mild distractions with commands -Work on Loose-Leash walking -Signaling and voice commands
Requirements for passing: -Must be able to stay in a sitting position for 60 seconds -Must be able to stay in a down position for 90 seconds -Dog must come with called -Must be able to walk well on a loose-leash -Must be able to have dogs do commands with being lured -Must be able to demonstrate an everyday use for 5 of the basic commands Basic Obedience(Level 2) 4 week course
Entry Requirements: -Must have gone through my Basic Obedience (level 1) class
Objectives: -We will be taking it to the next level -Working on longer sit and down stays -Working with more distractions -Adding distance with distractions to all commands -Work on distance commands
Passing Requirements: -Dog must be able to sit stay for 2 minutes with distractions -Dog must be able to down stay for 3 minutes with distractions -Dog must be able to come from 100 ft with minimal distractions -Dog must be able to come from 50 ft with more distractions -Must be able to stay even when owner is out of sight -Dog must be able come to owner when around corner -Dog must be able to do all commands from a distance Puppy Class 4 week course
Entry Requirements: -Must be at least 10 weeks old, but no older than 4 months. -Must have at least their first set of shots (Bordetella and Distemper)
Objectives: -Socialization of your puppy with other puppies -Very basic commands: Sit, Down, Come, Focus -Work with fear/aggression -Work with chewing -Work with jumping -Solve any other problems
Requirements for passing: -Be able to play with other puppies nicely, and non-aggressively -Know how to do the very basic commands
CGC Classes/Testing 5 week course with CGC test on week 5
Entry Requirements: -Must have gone through Level 1 and Level 2 Basic Obedience class -Decision made by trainer -Must be able to do everything taught in basic obedience
Objectives: -Go through each stage of the test and work on each aspect of them -Use this class as a study prep for the test
Passing Requirements: -Must do well on each stage
Pre-Agility 4 week course
Entry Requirements: -Must have gone through Level 1 and Level 2 Basic Obedience -Must be able to do distance commands -Needs to be in good shape -Likes to run and jump
Objectives: -Learn how to play the "ladder" game -Learn the go on command -Learn how to go forward and backward -Learn how to do leg weaves -Learn how to "spin", "turn", and "close" -To introduce obstacles
Passing Requirements: -Successfully complete the objectives to prepare for Agility Level 1
Agility (Level 1) 4 week course
Entry Requirements: -Must have passed Level 1 Agility
Objectives: -To learn how to do weave poles -To learn how to stay on the table top -To learn how to do the A-frame -To learn how to do the Dog Walk
Passing Requirements: -Must be able to weave through poles well -Must be able to stay on the table top for 30 seconds -Must be able to run up and down the A-frame correctly -Must be able to do the dog walk correctly
Agility (Level 2) 4 week course
Entry Requirements: -Must have gone through agility level 2
Objectives: -To learn how to jump over different types of jumps -To learn how to jump through a tire jump -To learn how to jump over hurdles -To learn how to go through chutes and tunnels -To learn how to do the see-saw
Passing Requirements: -Must be able to jump cleanly through a tire jump -Must be able to jump the jumps/hurdles for the height required in showing -Must be able to go through the chutes and tunnels confidently -Must be able to do the see-saw correctly
Agility (Level 3) 4 week course
Entry Requirements: -Must pass agility level 3 -Must be interested in showing
Objectives: -To learn how to show at agility shows -To master each piece of the agility course -To run an agility course in good time
Passing Requirements: -Go to a show -Successfully complete an agility course
